What is Photography and How did it Start?

Photography is said to be an art of capturing light with a camera normally using a digital sensor or film, to create an image. Some types of cameras can even photograph wavelengths of light invisible to the human eye like UV, and infrared light. Photography as we know it today was invented by a french man named Nicéphore Niépce in 1822. However, Camera Obscura (pinhole cameras) is basically a "camera" that projected an image in a dark room or a small box that while it reverses the image, is only projected so it was primarily used for tracing by builders as it could not "save" an image. Niépce was able to save an image on a glass plate using chemicals which would preserve the image.
